NobleMotion’s Summer Dance Intensive is a week-long contemporary dance experience for professional-level dancers (18 and up) and pre-professional (Ages 13-17). Placement for classes is determined by technical skill and age appropriateness. Students will train in a variety of disciplines including:

What to expect
NMD’s Summer Dance Intensive is focused on building technique and artistry in a creative and supportive atmosphere. Grab your friends and dance your heart out while studying with the artists of NobleMotion Dance and a strong lineup of guest teachers including Mike Esperanza (Bare Dance) and Brandon Coleman (NYC-based dance artist). Come dance with NMD in one of the most exciting weeks of the year!
What’s Included
NMD Summer Dance Intensive includes five full days of dancing in a variety of dance styles as well as afternoons focused on learning repertory. Repertory learned will be shown at the End of Week Showing on the final day of the intensive for friends and family. Super fun social events are also scheduled during the week.

Mike Esperanza
Mike Esperanza is an acclaimed artist from New York City who has established a national presence in the graphic design and dance communities. Mike has presented dance works at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Sergerstrom Center for the Arts, McCalllum Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance, The Royal Conservatory in Cordoba, Spain, and the Australian Circus Festival. The Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance. Mike’s talent garnered the 2005 “Dance: Creation for Performance” grant presented by Dance/USA and the Irvine Foundation, the 2010 “Innerstate” tour presented by ODC Theater, the 2010 paid engagement award at the Palm Desert Choreography Under the Stars Festival, the 2014 Reverb Dance Festival commission award, and the 2014 CUNY Dance Initiative.
Brandon Coleman
Brandon Coleman is a NYC-based choreographer, performer, and teacher from Katy, TX. Formerly a member of Visceral Dance Chicago, Coleman has worked with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago as a guest artist for their 2017 Summer Series. Since moving to NYC in 2017, Brandon has danced with KEIGWIN + COMPANY, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Vim Vigor Dance Company, Belinda McGuire Dance Projects, and spent the last six years as a performer and Rehearsal Director for Punchdrunk's Sleep No More. Brandon is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he received his BFA in Dance and BA in Communication with a minor in Arts Administration.
Andy and Dionne Noble
Andy Noble and Dionne Sparkman Noble Andy Noble and Dionne Sparkman Noble are long time collaborators who have been entertaining dance audiences for over 20 years. Most notably, NMD was featured on the Emmy Award winning ABC TV show “American Crime” with director John Ridley (2016) and at the “AI for Good” Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland (2024). They worked together on the TEDx Talk titled “Science Worth Dancing About,” discussing the impacts of dancing on the brain. In 2015, 2016, and 2019, Houston Press named NMD “Houston’s Best Dance Company.” Andy and Dionne are professors of dance at Sam Houston State University.

Refunds for the remainder of the participation fees will not be given within 14 days of the event.

Drop-ins for classes are available only if space permits. Inquire with intensive directors regarding drop-in rate and availability.
