About Us

Founded in 2009, NobleMotion Dance is a Houston based, 501(c)(3) non-profit performing arts organization. NMD Co-Artistic directors Andy Noble and Dionne Sparkman Noble are long time collaborators who have been entertaining audiences for over fifteen years.  In the last two years, their work has received over 20 positive local and national reviews for its work and has been invited by numerous organizations to perform in events including The Dance Gallery Festival New York, Weekend of Texas Contemporary Dance, JCC Triple Focus, Dance Houston and Big Range Dance Festival (Houston and Austin). 

Referring to NobleMotion’s premiere performance at Houston’s Big Range Dance Festival in 2009, Dance Source Houston critic Neil Ellis Orts stated “…the company exhibits an extraordinary athleticism…NobleMotion Dance is a name to watch.”

In Culturemap’s – Best Dance of 2010, Nancy Wozny exclaimed, “NobleMotion emerged as the dance company to gush about.”

 The company looks forward to performing in Austin and New York in 2012 and presenting an evening-length collaboration with light artist David J. Deveau in August/September at the Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex.
